PritiSkin Aesthetics LLC is Chicago’s best kept beauty secret. Mary Szatkowski-Pritikin MD, Founder and Medical Director of PritiSkin is a Board Certified ophthalmologist with a specialty in oculoplastic surgery. Her passions outside of medicine range from fashion to culinary arts which lend to her creativity in her master surgical and injectable skills to create natural, unparalleled results.
Patient experience and comfort is of the highest importance to us at PritiSkin, therefore we do take a limited number of appointments daily to ensure that every patient has ample amount of time with the Dr. Mary and the undivided attention of our entire team.
Mary Szatkowski-Pritikin, MD
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Mary Szatkowski-Pritikin is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with a specialty in Oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery. She treats a broad spectrum of oculoplastic disorders, including: the diagnosis and treatment of eyelid malpositions, tearing disorders, skin cancers of the eyelids, trauma involving the eyelids, infections and inflammations. Dr. Mary received her B.S. at University of Illinois before attending Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Growing up, Dr. Mary had always had a passion for cooking and between medical school and her residency she had written a letter to culinary idol, Julia Child. To her surprise, Julia wrote her back inviting Dr. Mary to live with her and Simone Beck in southern France to intern in classical French cuisine. After 6 months of internship with Julia, Dr. Mary returned to the states to become one of the first women accepted into Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the #1 Eye Hospital in America. While Dr. Mary is an incredible eye surgeon, her passion for creativity and beauty lead her to San Diego to where she specialized in oculoplastic surgery.
While she is an eye and facial specialist, she has expanded her skills to body contouring and high definition body sculpting using liposuction techniques with minimal downtime.
Dr. Mary founded PritiSkin Aesthetics in 2012 with the intent of helping each patient feel and look like the most confident version of themselves. She believes in conservative practice, therefore her specialized technique allows every patient to look natural and “untouched.” She also believes that it is important for every patient to feel comfortable and confident in the hands of their doctor or injector and for that reason, all patients have the time they deem necessary to meet with Dr. Mary, discuss their concerns and develop a plan. Dr. Mary has been featured in many publications including CS Magazine’s Top Doctors (2016), Chicago Magazine's Beauty Guru's (2020) and is on staff at Rush University in Chicago.
Having suffered from acne prone skin herself, Sara recognized the importance of skincare early in her life. As she grew older, this appreciation evolved into a passion for health, beauty, anti-aging and internal happiness. Sara began her career in the financial sector but continued to devote much of her time to following the ever changing trends in medical aesthetics. She made the decision to follow her true passion, skin care, and left her job in finance to pursue a degree from the acclaimed National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. She then completed CME laser aesthetics courses at the University of California-Irvine Beckman Laser Institute. Everything from laser physics to treat dark skin tones safely were covered. After completing her laser studies, Sara went on to graduate top of her class at the G Skin Beauty Institute in Chicago. With a decade of experience, Sara also has a strong background as a Medical Assistant in Plastics. She is an active member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and holds many certifications in skincare as a part of her continuing education. Sara's ambition is to not only leave every client looking revitalized, but also give them the sense of happiness and self confidence through their treatments.
